Sword x Staff Warrior Build: Skills, Stats, Duelist vs

Role

Warrior is the “Sword” starting class — a melee striker with higher survivability than Mage and the smoother solo start. Its core stats are Speed, Crit and Attack; if you are heading to Knight you weight Defense instead. Boltray’s site describes the Warrior branches as “a resilient melee fighter with high HP and DEF” (Knight side) and the burst striker (Duelist side).

Launch skill rotation

Two sources (swordxstaff.wiki and the EOG hub) agree on the early Warrior kit:

• Heavy Slash and Whirlwind Slash — the burst/AoE pair; community skill tiers put both at S for Warrior.
• Guard Defense and Charge Assault — A-tier utility; the intuitive loop is Charge Assault → Whirlwind Slash → Heavy Slash.
• Heavy Impact — charged single-target strike with a brief stun; the best T1 boss-killer and the #1 reroll target on the Warrior roll.
• Mountain Collapse — top AoE but put it last in the rotation; its knockback shoves enemies out of later AoE.
• Counter Blade — passive damage that costs no rotation slot.
• Blade of Lament — the two sources disagree (one calls it lifesteal for solo content, the other a DEF-reduction debuff opener). Unconfirmed as of Aug 23, 2026; test it in the Lv. 40 Skill Test before building around it.

Stat priority

Community shorthand: Strength (Physical ATK) › Constitution (HP/DEF) › Agility (ATK speed/Crit), roughly 50/35/15 at endgame. Physical Mastery converts at 40 points = +1% physical damage. Speed and Crit matter more once you advance.

Two starter templates

• Steady Warrior / Bruiser — balanced Attack and survivability; comfortable solo at every Verdantglade checkpoint.
• Burst — leans Speed/Crit/Attack and drops defensive subs; higher ceiling, punishes misreads.

Duelist or Knight?
