What is Sword x Staff?
Sword x Staff is a idle-strategy fantasy rpg ("third way rpg") by Boltray Games, available on iOS, Android (PC via Android emulator). It launched globally on May 19, 2026 after topping charts in China and Japan, and it plays unlike most idle games: you build one avatar through a Warrior/Mage dual-class system that branches into 14 classes across four tiers, mixing 200+ Techniques and Charms into four active and four passive slots. Exploration is the economy — 100%-clearing a sector of Verdantglade, Cinder Ridge, Aqualis or Loong Haven activates a Goddess Statue that raises your Blessing Level and idle income.

- Redeem the launch codes before your first pull. Menu → User Center → Gift Code (iOS: the official web portal). The codes page lists the 17 currently working ones.
- Pick Warrior or Mage and stop agonising. Both branch at Lv. 44 in Cinder Ridge and you can reclass at Aqualis. Our classes guide maps all 14 classes.
- Explore to 100% and activate every Goddess Statue. Statues raise your Blessing Level, Cart caps and bed EXP — the whole idle economy. See the map guide.
- Take the free 10-pull every day and pick one element. Relic resonance needs all four slots of one element; spreading upgrades stalls you. Details in gacha & pity and relics & gems.
- Unlock Fantomons at Lv. 50 and level the four you deploy evenly. Resonance uses the lowest level of the four. Start with the Fantomon tier list.

FAQ
Is it Sword x Staff, Sword and Staff, or SwordxStaff?
The official title is Sword x Staff (pronounced "sword cross staff"), written SwordxStaff in the developer's social handles. "Sword and Staff", "Sword Staff" and "Staff x Sword" are common misspellings of the same Boltray Games RPG — there is no separate game by those names.
What kind of game is Sword x Staff?
Boltray Games calls it a "Third Way RPG": an idle-progression RPG with a large explorable world (the four kingdoms of Kanstein), a Warrior/Mage dual-class system that branches into 14 classes across four tiers, 200+ mix-and-match skills, guilds, co-op dungeons and a weekly arena. Progress keeps accruing while you are offline.
When did Sword x Staff release and on which platforms?
The global version launched on May 19, 2026 for iOS and Android after pre-registration opened in late March. There is no native PC client or console version; PC players use an Android emulator. The game is free to play with optional in-app purchases ($0.99 to $99.99 tiers plus a $4.99 monthly benefit).
How This Codex Is Kept
Kanstein Codex is an independent, unofficial fan resource for Sword x Staff players — not affiliated with Boltray Games.
- How we verify: A gift code is listed as working only when at least two trackers updated within the past week agree on it; the moment any tracker or the official announcement dates a code as expired it moves to the expired table, and codes with announced end dates are removed the day they lapse.
- Update cadence: Codes are re-checked every few days; class, build and Fantomon pages are revised after each Boltray version note or season flip, and the date on each page is the last day we actually re-read the sources behind it.
- What we don't do: No skill numbers, drop rates or stat values are printed unless we can point to the in-game screen or an official Boltray post they came from; where community sources disagree we say so instead of picking a winner, and we never list APK mirrors or unofficial top-up resellers.
